Pour tout ceux et celles qui attendaient le grand retour d’une grande exposition des toiles de Jean Matrot, j’ai l’immense plaisir de vous annoncer que c’est maintenant ! Une superbe sélection de ses
toiles, y compris des plus récentes, est actuellement accrochée aux murs de la Galerie.

Un grand merci à Frédéric Chevalier et au Journal du Palais pour ce portrait. C’était un vrai plaisir d’échanger avec vous, et l’occasion d’une petite introspection sur le chemin qui m’a menée où je suis aujourd’hui… en racontant les choses aux autres, on comprend parfois des choses sur soi-même !

C’est parti pour une nouvelle saison !

Au programme :

-des nouveaux tableaux des artistes permanents : Jean Matrot, Marc Folly, et Frédérique Domergue accrocheront leurs dernières oeuvres. David Mansot amènera de nouvelles cabanes, et Florence Lemoine nous a préparé une magnifique collection de lampes en verre soufflé. La gamme de printemps des bijoux Sophie West arrive avec les beaux jours, et nos céramistes Cécile Lowy, Martha Stahlkopf et Brigitte Chassang ont prévu des belles pièces pour embellir nos tables printanières. Et Les Gugus seront à nouveau parmi nous 🙂

La Galerie accueillera cette année les créations de Sophie Guyot, magnifiques foulards en soie plissés et teintés à la main à Lyon.

Côte évènement : la saison démarre avec une exposition exceptionnelle des tableaux d’Armel Jullien, ainsi qu’une somptueuse sélection des sculptures animalières d’Athena Jahantigh.

From March 29 through May 5, Galerie Herbert-Fort will be presenting an exclusive exhibition of Armel Jullien paintings. Dealing with the relationship between man and nature, his paintings evoke complex modern suject matter with poetry and often with humor.
A must-see exhibition.

Beginning May 7th, the gallery will feature a selction of paintings by Parisian artist Bertrand Girard. A contemporary impressionist painter, his paintings often reveal Parisian city scenes or more intimate, touching scenes from everyday life. Exposition on show from May 7 through June 17th.

Sunday May 26, Brigitte Chassang will joi, us all day at the Gallery to share her newest works. This ceramicist uses an ancestral woodfiring technique. Woodfiring implies a considerable amounty of risk regarding the works’ final appearance, but brings a unique, inimitable quality to ceramics depending on the passage of flames, the accumulation of embers, deposits of wood ash here and there.
Early May, Brigitte fired over 400 pieces in her kiln. A process which took almost 6 weeks to accmplish : enamelling and installing pieces in the kiln one by one (4 weeks), the firing itself (3 days of hard physical work without interruption), and the long wait beofre discovering the result (8 days).
