The 2026 season kicks off at the gallery with a group show in which the figure plays a key role in a selection of paintings and sculptures which call on our own histories, like windows into ourselves.
The Gallery is thrilled to welcome for the first time the tiny paintings of Swan Scalabre and Sophie Barut’s bronze sculptures.
And Jean Matrot, one of the Gallery’s permanent artists, has created a series of paintings especially for this show inspired by childhood photographs.
The works in this show feel like a dream slipping away as one awakens, or a far-gone memory coming back to the surface – leaving the imprint of an emotion that goes beyond the image itself.
